Patricia Henk's practice encompasses two areas of the law including workers'compensation litigation and employment counseling as well as family law. Patricia's experience and training has provided her with an excellent medical and counseling background which affords her a unique approach in the litigation, collaboration and mediation of her cases. She has litigated extensively in both the administrative and appellate levels throughout Pennsylvania and most recently in Ohio.

Patricia's family law practice has a particular emphasis in collaborative family law matters and in mediation. Patricia has been trained as a collaborative law attorney and is a certified collaborative family law attorney. She is also a trained mediator, having received her updated mediation training and certification in 2008. Patricia is a founding member of the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania ("CLASP"). She is currently the Secretary of CLASP and sits on the Executive Committee. Patricia is a former at-large Executive Committee member of CLASP. Patricia is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and is a member of the Collaborative Law subcommittee.

In the area of workers' compensation, Patricia argued a precedent setting case before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in which the Court held that a termination of benefits may be granted, despite the claimant's continued complaints of pain, where the employer presents an unequivocal expert opinion, which the Workers' Compensation Judge accepts, that the claimant is fully recovered, can return to work without restriction and the complaint of pain is either not supported by objective medical findings or not related to the injury. (Udvari v. WCAB (U.S. Air), 705 A.2d 1290 (Pa. 1997)).

Patricia is a member of the American Bar Association (member, Family Law Section); the Pennsylvania Bar Association (member, Workers' Compensation, Family Law Sections); the Allegheny County Bar Association (member, Workers' Compensation and Family Law Sections); the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
