C. Reed Widdoes

Reed joined Marcus & Shapira in 2026, following a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Justice Christine Donohue of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.  As a clerk, Reed gained invaluable experience with Pennsylvania’s appellate courts and developed a keen eye for discerning which arguments gain traction before a judge.  Reed brings those insights to the table when representing clients at all stages of litigation.

Reed graduated cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law, where he was the vice-president of the Moot Court Honor Society and a senior staffer on the American University Administrative Law Review.  During law school, Reed interned for the Honorable Judge Ebony Scott of the DC Superior Court, giving him early exposure to trial-level practice and a firsthand understanding of how courtroom strategy and case management play out from the bench’s perspective.

Reed is a Pittsburgh native and currently lives in the East End.  He is a Pennsylvanian through and through; Reed attended college at Bucknell University and high school at Mercersburg Academy, where he now serves on the Alumni Council.  When not at work, you can find Reed playing squash, practicing his golf swing, or brushing up on his Italian and Russian.
